Tester for Measuring Electric Continuity of Pins

A single-purpose machine for testing electric continuity of pins, control of short-circuit and measuring pin height with tolerance of ±0.1mm.

The operator inserts the tested part into the appliance. He or she manually inserts the appliance into the tester. The test is launched when the appliance is inserted in the testing position and the safety barriers are released. The tested part is fixed and contacted automatically from the bottom and top.

The electric test tests the electric continuity of the pins and measures whether or not there was short-circuit or the isolation distance was interrupted during the production of the connector in the jet-press. The electric test is performed under the voltage of 500V.

During the electric test, the camera sensor measured the height of the pins. Four pins are measured in total. The height of the pins must be within the tolerance of ±0.1mm when compared with the etalon piece. The etalon piece and machine calibration are executed prior to each shift.

Each piece is marked with a centre punch after a successful completion of the test.
